How to Create a Ringtone from Music on Your Galaxy Device

If you're looking to set your favorite music as your ringtone on your Galaxy device, you're in luck! You can easily create a ringtone from most types of music files, including M4A and MP3, as long as it's saved on your computer. Whether you've downloaded or purchased the music files, you can use the following steps to set them as your ringtone. If you're using macOS Catalina or later, you'll actually use the Music app on your Mac to create the ringtone. First, open the Music app and find the song you want to use. Then, right-click on the song and select Get Info.

In the window that appears, select Options and enter the start and stop times for the section of the song you want to use as your ringtone. When you're done, click OK. Now, right-click on the song again and select Create AAC Version. This will create a new version of the song with only the section you selected. Next, open Finder and locate the new version of the song.

Right-click on it and select Show in Finder. This will open a folder containing the new version of the song. Rename this file with a .m4r extension instead of .m4a. Now, double-click on this file to add it to iTunes.

Finally, connect your Galaxy device to your computer and sync it with iTunes. The new version of the song will be added to your device and set as your ringtone. If you're using Windows, you can download music with Samsung Music or upload files to your device from your Windows PC. Once you've done that, open Windows Media Player and find the song you want to use. Right-click on it and select Create Playlist.

In the window that appears, enter a name for the playlist and click Create. Now, drag and drop only the section of the song you want to use as your ringtone into this playlist. Right-click on this section and select Convert. In the window that appears, select MP3 Audio File from the list of options.

Click Start Conversion, then click OK. Now, connect your Galaxy device to your computer and transfer this file to it. Once you've transferred the file to your device, open Settings > Sounds > Phone Ringtone. Select this file from the list of options and it will be set as your ringtone.
